The second semester just kicked off & our first design brief is something really exciting. I have been visiting thrift & vintage stores for a few years now looking for old records, furniture & art etc. The allocated site is in Port Elizabeth’s popular Baakens Valley & sits close to the river which makes this design approach very exciting. We have to design spaces for two principle tenants: SA Antiques & Classic Books. The building must also allow for other smaller additional tenants (coffee shop, home industries, hobbyist etc).

This was just a kick-start to this project so please stay tuned to see how this design comes to life.
