After two and a half years of designing with absolute freedom and no budget restriction, the industry was ready to bring me back to reality.

I was lucky enough to do my practical at Ateljee Architects in Port Elizabeth and it has both been a reality check and one of the best few months of my life. Daniel Bezuidenhout the Main Architect and owner of Ateljee Architects has not only shown me the harsh side of this industry but has shown me the beauty in designing, engaging with clients and that working as an equal team and illiminating the sense of hierarchy is the key to success.

From doing working drawings, municipal hand-ins, creative sketching & site visits my favourite part was making coffee for the incredible Ateljee Team.
